OUT-PATIENT SERVICES AND REGISTRATION PROCESS (OPD)

  • All OPD Registration is free of cost.
  • Separate queue for senior citizens for all OPD facilities.
  • Patients are seen on first come first serve basis.
  • The decision to admit a patient rests with the treating doctor
  • The patient will be admitted only if a vacant bed is available. But, in case of emergency, out of turn admission may be done. Wheel chairs are available.
  • All facilities are subject to availability and may change from time to time.

(Access: ramp, lifts, stain cases)

  • Respiratory Medicine

REGISTRATION:

Registration counter is present at the main reception area of Hospital with facility of waiting area. The waiting area has been provided with adequate sitting facility and other supportive services like wheel chairs and stretchers besides common amities like drinking water, and separate wash rooms for male and female patients and attendants, respectively.

FUNCTIONING

After the proper registration procedure the patient is provided with an OPD card and is guided to the respective OPD complex. The OPD waiting number is given to the patient and then requested to be seated at the reception area. On their turn they are guided to the respective doctors for consultation & treatment. The hospital takes due consideration for physically handicapped and senior citizens. Immediate measures are taken for the shifting of serious patients to respective critical care unit.

REFERRALS FROM OUT-PATIENT DEPARTMENT

The patient could reach the OPD as a referred case which is seen by other departments and referred to a particular dept. for expert opinion and management.

REFERRALS

Patients can be referred to the respective wards from:

  • OPD’s
  • In-patient Departments: patients can be referred for opinion from one department to the other whenever it is deemed necessary by the treating consultants.
