Advanced Skill Lab
With evolving times, health care has progressed by leaps and bounds. The modern doctor provides effective care by using highly technical investigative and therapeutic tools as part of medical, surgical and radiological procedures. These highly technical therapeutic tools require adequate training before their usage.
Therefore learning skills & competencies among other Domains of learning is a major challenge for the following reasons:
- Chances of repeating performances on patients and learning opportunities are limited.
- The concerns and anxieties of the patient to let young trainee doctors to perform procedures.
- Various risks and Medico-legal factors involved in performing the procedures.
Hence, it is important to impart basic Medical, Surgical, Obstetric & Radiological Skills in the skill labs.
GOAL
To enable health care professional students to be competent in delivering the health care needs effectively by imparting adequate training in basic and advanced skills.
OBJECTIVES
- To develop necessary clinical skills in medical undergraduate, post graduate students, paramedical and nursing students as per the competency requirement of the various courses.
- To develop resources, materials and course curricula required for various courses.
- To train and certify the learners and faculty necessary for conducting the skill courses.
- To provide knowledge and support for the upcoming skill centres in future.
