To develop a robust culture of scientific inquiry and to impact health of the community, National Capital Region Institute of Medical Sciences, Meerut strongly promotes researchers at all levels. Various undergraduate, postgraduate and faculty research projects are being carried out with inter-disciplinary and external collaborations. All the postgraduate students are required to complete a thesis in their respective disciplines in two-years as a part of requirement of their course completion.
Undergraduate students are encouraged to take up short, community-based projects, of which, some have applied for and received ICMR funding. All the postgraduate departments have been recognised as research centres by the University.
All the research projects in the institution are scrutinized independently from the viewpoint of ethical issues and project management by a strong and efficient Institutional Ethics Committee.
All the research projects in the institution are scrutinised for scientific aspects and use of sound and appropriate research methodology prior to the submission of the protocols for the approval of Integrative Medical Research Committee (IMRC). IMRC in collaboration with the All Departments and also conducts various workshops to train the faculty and students (both undergraduate & postgraduate).
